WHAT IS TECH ITSELF?
First of all – having tried to figure out the answer to this question, the one thing I can say for sure that ‘tech’ is one of those super tricky concepts that seem to cover many things yet are extremely difficult to define… It is an industry sector, as a process, as a product, a class of tools, a body of skills & knowledge, and, finally, as a range of occupations. When we talk about tech, there are two things: TECHNOLOGY and TECHNICAL.
WHAT IS TECHNOLOGY?
Technology is the creation, usage and knowledge of tools, techniques, crafts, systems, or methods of organization, to solve a problem or serve some purpose or end.
Technical means having special and usually practical knowledge especially of a mechanical or scientific subject.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TECHNICIAN AND A TECHNOLOGIST
Technician and technologist are two different terms. However, these two terms are interrelated.
A technician and a technologist differ in their educational levels and responsibilities.
A technician is just a person with a practical understanding of technology. On the other hand, a technologist is a person who is completely aware of various technologies.
A technologist has a greater role than a technician; a technician works under a technologist.
A technologist will have an engineering degree, whereas, a technician will have a lower degree, or some kind of diploma certificate.
A technologist has a wider range of duties when compared to a technician; his position is above the technician’s position in technological matters.
A technologist is solely responsible for innovative ideas, and the technician is responsible for the application of those ideas.
Unlike technicians, technologists handle most of the more complex work.
WHO IS THE REAL TECH BRO?
Tech-bro, is a common term used to describe a guy (or lady; tech sis) working in the tech space. Sometimes, not being able to write codes might be a disadvantage, but is that all there is to tech? After all, not everything in tech is only about coding!
Tech Bros are intelligent and technologically-minded, but they fit into a different social slot than the one in which nerd characters have traditionally been placed.
